Wirral West Constituency Committee has made available £50,000 for local organisations to bid for funding for local projects that will positively impact on the area through its Community Fund grants programme.

The Wirral West Constituency Team is inviting bids for projects that will improve quality of life in *Wirral West and positively impact on local people and places. Up to £10,000 is available per ward, with a maximum grant for each project of £1,000 groups may also apply for more than one project.

Eligible projects will be asked to take part in funding events where local people will be asked to have their say on whether the project should receive the requested grant. Residents and communities will be asked to show their support for the projects and improvements that matter to them through a community vote.

The closing date for applications is Friday 26th February, 12 noon.

Your Wirral, a fund jointly administered by Wirral Council and not-for-profit housing provider Magenta Living, has made available £250,000 to support local groups. If you are a voluntary or community organisation working in Wirral West, you may be eligible for a grant of up to £2,500 to support any activities that address one or more of the following themes:

  • Creating an attractive and safe environment;

  • Contributing to community economic regeneration;

  • Preventing crime or reducing the fear of crime;

  • Providing employment and training for local people;

  • Benefiting local people who face discrimination;

  • Improving community facilities;

  • Engaging communities to improve quality of life

Funds are available for each of the four constituency areas in Wirral (Birkenhead, Wallasey, Wirral South and Wirral West), and for Wirral-wide projects. The deadline for applications is noon on 14th September 2015.

Eligible projects will be asked to take part in community funding events where local people will be asked to have their say on whether the project should receive the requested grant.

The closing date for applications is Friday 9th January 2015, 12noon.

The "Wirral Wide" Your Wirral funding is available again. There is roughly £21,000 available for new applications for "Wirral Wide" projects, i.e. projects that include activities within two or more of Wirral's Constituencies (Birkenhead, Wallasey, Wirral South and Wirral West). These applications need to be received by noon on Friday 19th December 2014. Please go onto the website www.wirral.gov.uk/yourwirral for the Terms and Conditions, Guidance on how to complete the application forms and of course, the application forms themselves. The bidding round for this fund has been extended (from the original December date). If you want to apply, applications need to be received by 12 noon on Friday 30th January 2015.
